不經不覺,DT由89年出道,到了今天也已經過了20年的時光.雖然坦白說我並不說得上是DT的資深樂迷,但畢竟小弟也叫做收齊DT的album(當然,非正式的另外...),經歷了DT由初時"Images And Words"的美妙旋律兼具超高技術的風格,去到"Scenes from Memory"昇華至金屬歌劇的境界,再由"Six Degrees..."開始走向重厚而黑暗的曲風一直至今,都不禁驚覺歲月追人,DT原來也不知不覺變了風格!!

在網上試聽完之後(連同官網早前免費DL的),頭5首曲子,基本上的格調跟上一張其實也差不了太遠.不過,最後一首"The Count of Tuscany"卻令我及一些舊一派的DT迷重燃對樂隊的信心,就是該首差不多長20分鐘的樂曲,DT居然玩回早期"Images And Words"那一種明快,旋律性重的風格,跟02年開始的"黑暗時期"的重厚風格完全不一樣;而且整首曲子的編排也是別有用心的以一種"撇開雲霧見青天"的感覺來收尾...咦?這不就是跟今作的封面概念/album title對題啊??小孩子在一片陰暗的天空中找到了新的天地,這會不會說明DT在玩完這一段"黑暗期"的20週年之後,會重投舊時的美妙旋律的風格?(我自己真的很想DT再可以玩回以前Scene from Memory"的曲風...)

一切的疑問,還待再一張大碟的推出時解答...
